Yokohama Café was the Place to Meet Sakata at IPM!
Last week our Out of Office message was all about IPM as we left our office for Essen. A total of 1,564 exhibitors from 45 countries joined us as they were also presenting new products, strong sales concepts and innovative technology to the expert world.
This year’s IPM was a very special one for Sakata, as we were truly excited to welcome visitors to our new stand 1C36 in Hall 1, which was considerably expanded in relation to our previous locations. With the extra space we could comfortably accommodate all guests to our new stand; the Yokohama Café. Expanded and enlarged, the Yokohama Café was the Place to Meet Sakata at IPM!
Besides colourful flowers and plants, comfortable meeting booths, great coffee and refreshments we had fruitful meetings with visitors from all over the world! And not only was our café a great meeting point for our customers but also for a wide assortment of the international trade and press.
One of the highlights of our stand was the Rosita Lisianthus Wall filled with 1152 stems of Rosita Lisianthus. The combination of red and white made it an absolutely stunning appearance. It was therefore no surprise that Friday late afternoon, during breakdown of our stand, ladies were lining up to receive the Roses without Thorns. Besides the Lisianthus, SunPatiens also did a wonderful job decorating our stand meanwhile performing as a natural buffer between the sitting booths. At fairs it is always a challenge to have a private conversation but thanks to SunPatiens we didn’t have to worry about that. Other highlights on the stand were our Primula Danova, still growing strong after almost 30 years. Our natural beauties CaliPetite® featured too, as well as our latest Petchoa introduction SuperCal® Light Yellow.
This year Sakata also joined the new Hortivation experience the ‘Family Garden’, in Hall 13. Time efficiency and sustainability were the central theme of this innovation show. Impatiens SunPatiens® featured in this hotspot located in Hall 13 as it fitted the theme perfectly.
In case you didn’t know, SunPatiens® represents a breeding breakthrough: they thrive in full sun or part shade and deliver continuous colour from spring, all through summer and right up to the first harsh frosts of winter. Unaffected by Downey Mildew, SunPatiens® are an excellent alternative to other summer bedding plants, offering non-stop colour and robust coverage in full sun or semi-shaded areas! No surprise that gardeners and landscapers love SunPatiens®!
We would like to thank all visitors of Yokohama Café, and we hope to see you again in June, during FlowerTrials in Week 24! Registration opens March 1st at www.flowertrials.com, where you can also find all the information you need to plan your visit.
